Vinyl benzyl chloride (VBC) is also known as (chloromethyl) vinyl benzene or α- Chloromethyl styrene. It is a bifunctional monomer with polymerizable double bonds and benzyl chloride. It is an isomeric mixture of VT prepared by chlorination.

- Vinylbenzyl chloride can be used in acrylic lotion pressure sensitive adhesive composition.
- Vinylbenzyl chloride can be used as natural synthesis intermediate as well as pharmaceutical intermediate, mostly for research laboratory research and development process and chemical production procedure.
- Vinyl benzyl chloride can be converted into high molecular weight homopolymer, which can be copolymerized with many other monomers and used as the comonomer of many special plastics. The reaction can also be carried out on chloromethyl before or after polymerization.
