α- Glycosidase inhibitors.
As a chelating agent for trivalent iron in the range of pH 7 to pH 10. To form 1:1 strong iron Chelation. The formed iron Chelation will then chelate other heavy metals or alkaline earth metal ions.
N – (2-hydroxyethyl) Ethylenediamine – N, N ‘, N’ – triacetic acid (HEDTA) can be used as an ion carrier for the selective determination of Fe (III) ions by potentiometry. It is also used to form complexes with metal ions such as iron (II), copper (II), zinc (II), manganese (II), and uranium (VI) ions. Therefore, HEDTA plays an important role in the separation of f-elements and the treatment and disposal of nuclear waste.
