  1. Synthetic alkyd resin
    Because the trimethylolpropane molecule contains a special molecular structure with three primary hydroxyl groups, it can not only replace glycerin to synthesize alkyd resin, but also replace or share with polyols such as neopentyl glycol and pentaerythritol to produce alkyd resin. Compared with alkyd resins made with polyols such as glycerin, neopentyl glycol, and pentaerythritol, it has better hydrolysis resistance, oxidation stability, alkali resistance and thermal stability, and also has bright color and color retention. It has the advantages of strong strength, temperature resistance and quick-drying. It is especially suitable for the production of road marking paints and varnishes. It can also be used as a top coat for automobiles, refrigerators, washing machines, bicycles, aviation and navigation. Alkyd resin synthesized from trimethylolpropane has good compatibility with amino resin, and can be used as raw material for polyurethane coatings, and can also be used as high-grade coatings such as urethane self-drying paint and baking paint.
  2. Synthetic premium lubricants
    The esters of trimethylolpropane can be used to synthesize advanced lubricating oil.   4. Preparation of plasticizer
