What is Phenyl Trimethicone?
Organic silicon base. Phenyl Trimethicone is used in cosmetics and beauty products as an anti foaming agent, hair conditioner and skin conditioner. It can improve the texture of hair damaged by chemical treatment.
Phenyl Trimethicone Uses
A silicone oil that provides a non greasy, easy to apply emollient for formulas. It can also be used as a waterproof additive and reduce the viscosity and stickiness of other ingredients. It also gives the hair luster, softness and better combability.
Phenyltrimethyl silicone oil can be used as a barrier to protect skin from excessive water loss. It makes the skin feel soft and smooth, adds moisture to the formula, and reduces any sticky feeling. It can also be used to control or prevent foaming of cosmetic preparations. It is an organic silicon, similar to polydimethylsiloxane, but compatible with a wider range of oils and waxes.
