Description

Production method

Production method 1 Preparation of pyridine hydrobromide high bromine compound In a 500 mL three-neck flask, add 9.1 g (1 mol) of pyridine, and add dropwise 113 ml (2 mol) of 48% hydrobromic acid under stirring and cooling in ice water. Later changed to oil bath heating, dewatering under the pressure of the pump to reach the final temperature of 160 °C. The residue in the bottle should be completely dry pyridine hydrobromide. 240 g of glacial acetic acid was added to the bottle, and the mixture was heated to completely dissolve. The solution of 80 g (25.5 mL) of bromine and 80 mL of glacial acetic acid was gradually added from the dropping funnel while stirring at 50 to 60°C. The reaction was poured into a 1L beaker, covered with a glass surface, and allowed to crystallize. The needle-like crystals of a red-brown pyridine hydrobromide bromide were precipitated. After cooling to 10°C, the mixture was suction filtered, pressed dry, and air-conditioned. During drying, approximately 190 g of product was obtained with a yield of 59.4%. m·p·101~104°C. Preparation of 23-bromopyridine The dry pyridine hydrobromide high bromide compound prepared above was added to the obtained pyridine hydrobromide, and a reflux condenser was installed on the three-necked flask. The top of the condenser was connected with calcium chloride. The tube is then connected to a bottle filled with water to absorb hydrogen bromide and a thermometer is inserted in the other port. The remaining one is plugged with a stopper and the mixture is placed in an oil bath and heated to 235° C. (inside bottle temperature) and maintained. At this temperature of 8 h, the reaction started at 200° C., ie, hydrogen bromide evolved, and yellow crystals precipitated in the condenser tube. When no more bromine chloride evolved, the reaction was completed, heating was stopped, and cooling was performed. The cold-solidified reactants were subjected to steam distillation to remove the 3,5-dibromopyridine and 1500 mL of the distillate was distilled off. After filtration, 10.5 g of 3,5-dibromopyridine crystals were obtained.
