What is 4'-Methylpropiophenone?
4-methylphenylacetone is a chemical reagent with aromatic ketones. Aromatic ketones are phenylacetone with a methyl group on C-4. It is used as an intermediate of medicine and synthetic raw materials, and also for electro carboxylation reaction.

Synthetic Method of 4'-Methylpropiophenone
The chiral adsorption inducer alkaloid was used to induce p-methylpropiophenone to fix carbon dioxide and electrosynthesize α-7, yl-α-hydroxy-4-methyl-phenylacetic acid.
The high yield and certain ee value were obtained by galvanostatic electrolysis and high performance liquid gun. The factors such as electrode material, current density and inducer were preliminarily investigated.
It was found that when the ring stainless steel was used as the cathode, the magnesium rod was used as the sacrificial anode, tetrabutylammonium iodide was used as the electrolysis support salt, 0.016g cinchonine was used as the inducer and the temperature was 0 ℃, the current density was 1,1 mA·Cm-2 constant.
