Application:

Tetramethyl ammonium chloride as phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis, catalytic activity than triphenyl phosphate and triethylamine, at room temperature for white crystalline powder, volatile, stimulating, easily moisture absorption, soluble in methanol, soluble in hot water and ethanol, insoluble in ether and chloroform. Heated to above 230 ℃ is decomposed into trimethylamine and methyl chloride. Half of the lethal dose (mice, abdominal cavity) 25mg/kg. Also used in the synthesis of liquid crystal epoxy compounds, polarographic and pop analysis, electronic industry and so on.
