Chemical Properties:
Antioxidant 1024 is a high-efficiency, non-polluting antioxidant with excellent performance. It is soluble in methanol and acetone, slightly soluble in chloroform and ethyl acetate, and insoluble in water. It has a double structure of hindered phenol and hydrazide, and has anti-oxidant properties. Oxidation and metal deactivation function. It is a metal deactivator, it does not produce stains, and can be used alone or in combination with other general antioxidants to have an excellent synergistic effect. It is suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyamide, polyester, especially for phenolic resin antioxidant, which can effectively prevent the self-oxidation of the polymer due to the presence of transition metal ions (such as catalyst residues).
Application:
- Used in polymers for insulated wires and cables (including polyolefins and elastomers). Perfect melting characteristics make it easy to mix into the above-mentioned polymers and other polymer systems without dispersion problems. The general dosage is 0.1- 0.5%.
- It is very effective for all grades of polyethylene homopolymerization and copolymerization polypropylene resins in polyolefin materials that come in contact with metal copper during processing or long-term use.
- In polyolefins with talc as filler, it can be used as an effective processing and final use stabilizer. Among the polyolefins, it has the best effect when mixed with anti-oxidant 1010.
- It can be used as an effective anti-extraction stabilizer in the finished rubber particles (synthetic or natural rubber latex particles), especially in the hoses of NBR fuel and gasoline. If used in conjunction with appropriate phenolic antioxidants (such as antioxidant 245), it will have an excellent stabilizing effect. hydrazide is also effective in homopolymerized or copolymerized polypropylene resin
